Successful Conclusion of the 2025 Spring Semester Closing and Graduation Ceremony
The 2025 Spring Semester Closing and Graduation Ceremony concluded successfully, thanks to the warm interest and participation of many parents.
We were especially honored by the presence of Chairperson Jemo Kang and Director Yumi Moon, whose attendance added great significance to the event.
From the King Sejong Class, students Ji-hye Sim and Mary Lim received the Outstanding Graduate Award in recognition of their dedication
and achievements.
One of our teaching assistants, who has faithfully served for the past four years, was previously awarded the Presidential Award and
the NAKS Junior Award two years ago. This semester, the Chairperson personally presented a Leadership Certificate and Scholarship
as a token of appreciation.
Students received various awards for their projects throughout the semester, including ¡°Korean Newspaper Creation¡± and
the ¡°Poetry Writing Project.¡± In addition, students with perfect attendance received the Perfect Attendance Award for coming to school
every Saturday without a single absence.
At the event venue, students' artworks, photos showcasing their activities throughout the semester, and
videos featuring special class activities by each class were displayed. Also on exhibit were pottery pieces and
traditional Minhwa paintings created during special activity sessions.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Vika, the guest instructor for the "Minhwa" painting workshop.
(Minhwa refers to a form of traditional Korean painting that was popular among ordinary people during the Joseon Dynasty. The term literally means "folk painting," and unlike the refined court paintings created by professional artists, minhwa is characterized by its simple and free-spirited expression, symbolic meanings, and bright, vivid colors.)
Parents, teachers, and students shared a joyful time together, appreciating the growth of the children through the displays and creating lasting memories.
